Cyberattack on Miljödata – SAS data affected

Miljödata, provider of the Adato system used for HR and rehabilitation data, has suffered a major cyberattack. Sensitive data from approximately 1.5 million individuals, including SAS employees, has been leaked and published on Darknet.

Impact on SAS:

SAS used Adato until June 2021. Although data was supposed to be deleted, two old reports were leaked, affecting current and former employees who were employed before 21 June 2021. Exposed data includes personal ID numbers, contact details, and in some cases, sick leave information.

Recommended actions:

Be extra vigilant for phishing attempts, scam calls, or unusual contact as the leaked data could be used to perform social engineering attacks. Monitor for signs of identity theft or misuse of personal data.
