SAS is introducing a totally new in-flight connectivity with the introduction of free, high-speed Wi-Fi. Engineered by SpaceX, Starlink is the world’s first and largest satellite constellation using a low Earth orbit that will provide SAS passengers in all travel classes high-speed, low-latency internet for free. SAS will begin the phased rollout on their entire fleet at the end of 2025 and EuroBonus members will enjoy this premium feature at no cost.

As part of SAS' investment in Swedish domestic network, routes between Arlanda and Halmstad City Airport, as well as Arlanda and Kalmar Öland Airport, are launching today. These new services will further enhance accessibility in Sweden, from north to south.

SAS tar ännu ett strategiskt steg i sin expansion av inrikestrafiken och börjar i dag återigen trafikera linjen Arlanda – Kalmar. Flyglinjen kommer att ytterligare stärka tillgängligheten i Sverige, från norr till söder. 

SAS and Air Europa have joined forces to enhance connectivity between Scandinavia and the Iberian Peninsula. This new codeshare partnership expands both airlines’ reach, providing SAS’ customers with access to 12 key destinations in Spain and Portugal, while Air Europa passengers benefit from SAS' extensive Scandinavian network.

SAS has been honored with two prestigious awards at The Aviation Challenge (TAC) 2024, organized by SkyTeam. Recognized as one of the airline industry's most impactful global competitions, TAC is dedicated to driving meaningful progress in sustainability. SAS received nominations in three categories and proudly secured victories in Best Scaled Cargo solution and Best Scaled FlightOps Solution.  

SAS achieved a punctuality rate of 81.4% in 2024, ranking as the second most punctual among Europe’s major airlines (following Iberia Group) and securing a position in the global top 10 for on-time performance. As a member of the SkyTeam alliance, SAS shares this achievement alongside its partners, with SkyTeam members dominating the global rankings. “Our colleagues have joined forces to address what we know customers care most about: punctuality,” says Anko van der Werff, President & CEO of SAS.

A new phase in Swedish aviation begins as SAS significantly expands its route network on January 2, 2025. Accessibility across the country improves, with domestic flights concentrated at one airport in Stockholm. For the first time, travelers will be able to fly within Sweden, as well as to the rest of the world, via the same airport. Together, SAS and Stockholm Arlanda Airport are ready to offer seamless and pleasant experiences for new and returning passengers.
