SAS RECEIVES iF DESIGN GOLD AWARD FOR REDESIGNED APP
SAS' recently revamped mobile app has been awarded the prestigious iF Design Gold Award, showcasing its outstanding design expertise. Before this, the app had already garnered recognition with the Webby Award and the Red Dot Award, further cementing its reputation for excellence in design innovation.
The SAS app has been around for more than ten years and is used by millions of travelers every year. In 2022, SAS set out to enhance the app with a focus on improving the customer experience. The app has been developed together with SAS’ customers, and feedback from the end users is still key to the development process. The redesigned app was released at the end of 2022.

The updated app introduces an array of improved features, including a more streamlined booking system, personalized travel suggestions, up-to-the-minute flight notifications, and convenient access to boarding passes and travel essentials. Moreover, it showcases upgraded navigation and a visually captivating interface that mirrors SAS' fresh brand aesthetic.
The "iF Design Award" is an internationally recognized design award presented annually by the iF International Forum Design GmbH, based in Hannover, Germany. It has been awarded since 1953 and is one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world. The award recognizes outstanding achievements in various design disciplines, including product design, communication design, packaging design, service design, architecture, interior architecture, and professional concept. Winning an iF Design Award is considered a significant honor within the design community, and it signifies excellence and innovation in design.
