Anna Almén of SAS named Corporate Lawyer of the Year 2025

Executive Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at SAS, Anna Almén, has been awarded the Swedish title of Corporate Lawyer of the Year 2025. This recognition celebrates her leadership, marked by her ability to navigate complex strategies under pressure.

For the thirteenth consecutive year, the title of Corporate Lawyer of the Year has been awarded by Affärsvärlden, the business magazine, in collaboration with the Swedish Company Lawyers Association and the law firm Vinge.

This year’s recipient, Anna Almén was recognized for her leadership and significant contributions to SAS, most notably her role in guiding the company through the complex Chapter 11 process and overseeing the critical restructuring that secured SAS’ future.

Since the early 2000s, Anna Almén has been a key member of SAS' legal team and assumed the role of Executive Vice President Chief Legal Officer in 2022. In this capacity, she is responsible for all legal matters across the business, supporting an airline with more than 10,000 people.
