For SAS Group, being Scandinavia's leading airline, sustainable development means a balanced focus on environmental, social, and governance responsibilities.
The primary objective for SAS’s Environmental program is maintaining the Net Zero Carbon Emission 2050 policy, generate long-term value for shareholders, and protect the natural environment.
The SAS Environmental program covers all airlines within the Group, including Wet-leased Aircraft, Core Activities, Flight Operations, Maintenance, Ground, and Cargo Handling in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden.
SAS is aims to follow strong environmental practices, reducing or preventing pollution, and encouraging its stakeholders to do the same.
Sustainable development is fully integrated into SAS’s business activities and forms a core part of our main strategy.

SAS’ Environmental Program and activities are based on continuous improvement, with reference to SAS’ overall environmental goals. Each company and unit within the SAS Group are responsible for setting specific targets on all significant aspects - and working to reach them.
